Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that the U.S. Green Building Council awarded Platinum LEED certification to Intesa Sanpaolo’s new headquarters, the Intesa Sanpaolo Tower in Turin, Italy.

Jacobs performed project management, construction management and LEED administration services for the new building. The LEED Green Building Rating System evaluates environmental performance over a building’s life cycle, providing a definitive standard for what constitutes a green building in design, construction and operation.

Jacobs set up the LEED strategy, developed the energy model, performed document control and executed the commissioning of this highly sustainable building. Jacobs Group Vice President Mark Bello stated, “We are thrilled by the U.S. Green Building Council’s recognition for our work. This Platinum LEED certification demonstrates that our and Intesa Sanpaolo’s environmental goals on this project have been achieved and that this building is a high performing tower with the most advanced technical solutions and highest principles of environmental sustainability.”
