Minneapolis Hotel construction from start to finish.

Check out this awesome construction time-lapse video of the Hyatt Regency Bloomington – Minneapolis Hotel being built! Dr. Tom Von Sternberg from the neighboring HealthPartners hospital took photos of the year long construction from his office. He then put together the photos and created a video that shows the construction of the project from start to finish. We were so excited about the video we had to share! Check it out below.

McGough Development announced the opening of its new Hyatt Regency Bloomington – Minneapolis hotel at its Bloomington Central Station development site, completing the centerpiece of its transit-oriented development.

Bloomington Central Station is a master planned, transit-oriented development (TOD) site built around a centrally-located, two-acre public park. The 50-acre TOD site includes the HealthPartners corporate office campus, The Reflections condominium towers, Bloomington Central Station Park, and the new Hyatt Regency hotel – now the development’s centerpiece.

Bloomington Central Station is connected via light rail to the Mall of America and its numerous shopping and entertainment attractions, both airport terminals at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus, the U.S. Bank Stadium, and Downtown Minneapolis’ business and entertainment districts.

“The addition of the Hyatt Regency hotel rounds out our vision of the Bloomington Central Station,” said Mark Fabel, Vice President of Development for McGough. “It’s the perfect complement to the existing work-live-connect-play community and we’re already seeing that reflected in demand for the property.”

Continued expansion is slated for Bloomington Central Station, with a 420-unit IndiGO apartment project by Lennar Multifamily also currently under construction on the site and slated to open in Fall 2016.
